Hong Kong Touchdown 2017

I arrived in Hong Kong on March 7th 2017 and got straight to business with a very food feature shoot for CondéNast Travel China. Fresh off the boat (or plane for me), I dove straight into the Hong Kong food scene alongside my new friend and incredible journalist Agnes Chee. We spent the first three days of this Hong Kong trip shooting in incredible local eateries, street food restaurants and reputable dim sum establishments so off to a good start!A few days later, Agnes and I attended the Taste of Hong Kong Festival later where I met more amazing F&B actors and had a taste of Hong Kong's eclectic dining scene. First up was 2-star chef Eric Ekkebus from Amber. His Japanese oysters topped with a refreshing beetroot granita was rich and flavor and minerality and his clam soup reminded me of some the finest dishes back in Europe. We also tried the Ritz-Carlton's BBQ pork and Parisian Chef Kei's home made gnocchi with black truffle and Italian cured ham. After grabbing a bite to eat, we randomly ran into Chef Umberto Bombana from Otto e mezzo, the only 3-star Italian chef outside of Italy. Not a bad start to my Hong Kong culinary adventure !...
